The Weatherley Centre was opened on 6th October 1979 and is named after the late Herbert Weatherley, Formerly Managing director of Weatherley Oilgear Limited. In 1971 Mr Weatherley gave £150,000 towards the provision of a centre to provide recreational and leisure facilities for the inhabitants of the town and district.

We are a community centre that is based in the Stratton School grounds. We have rooms and halls available for hire from a small committee room for 2 people to our Grand Hall that is up to 300. The
We have a big car park and facilities on site to be able to cater for every function. Lots of groups in the community call the Weatherley Centre home including Biggleswade Art Society, Ivel Towns
We aim to provide all members of the community access to a safe, welcoming place to come and meet. A place to come and meet. A place where people can learn, socialize in a safe and friendly environment. We provide a wide variety of resourses and services for the whole community regardless of sex, age, religion or race. We want everyone to come here and feel able to have a great event and also be respectable of others.
I forgot two of the most important items, a knife for the cake and bin bags and she sorted me both!
