About Us
Finding Community in Every Room
The Weatherley Centre is located on the Stratton school site, access via Eagle Farm Road or Orchard Close. We have been providing a venue for regular groups and special community occasions for more than 40 years.

Today the Weatherley Centre is used by groups large and small, catering for all ages and tastes. Our pride and joy is the Grand Hall, the towns biggest indoor hall with a long history of being privileged to host wedding receptions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, fitness classes, comedy nights and fundraisers for the local community. You name it and we will help you make your occasion a special memory!

We also boast four more rooms of various sizes available for hire, a licensed bar, kitchen and a free car park for 70 vehicles. We can truly be the venue for any occasion.
Our Story
Herbert E Weatherley of engineering firm Weatherley Oilgear, later Weatherley Cincinatti was the benefactor behind the Weatherley Centre. The company was the town's biggest employer in the post-war years with a vast factory site close to the railways of Dells Lane.

In the early 1970's Mr Weatherley established the Weatherley Trust with a cash gift to provide facilities for the community. Our location became available for development. In October 1979 the centre was officially opened by Herbert's son Tom.

Today the centre is run by a dedicated team who are committed to providing friendly, top-quality service. The centre is still overseen by the Weatherley Trustees who manage the trust's fund in the best interests of the centre and the wider community. The aim to provide a community facility for the ever-growing town remains.
